1for3 Model: Crisis-configured by design

Why our Community Health Worker (CHW) model works in high-risk, high-need environments:

Community Rooted

  • CHWs live within the villages they serve — no evacuation, no withdrawal

  • Deep trust built over months of sustained, consistent presence

  • Culturally fluent: language, customs, family dynamics

  • Neighbours helping neighbours — not outsiders arriving post-crisis

Crisis Adaptive

  • Designed to function when formal healthcare systems collapse

  • Low-infrastructure model: no clinic needed, no building dependency

  • Rapid pivot from routine care to psycho-social support

  • Bridges the gap when medical support is not sufficient or is no accessible

People Centered

  • Addresses social & psychological needs alongside physical health

  • Reduces isolation for elderly, disabled & displaced individuals

  • Advocates for families who cannot navigate disrupted systems alone

  • Tracks vulnerable cases — ensuring no one falls through the cracks

1for3-Lebanon

1for3-Lebanon is a new program of 1for3.org, a 501(c)(3)registered non-profit in Massachusetts founded about 15 years ago soon after we began working in Palestine in 2013 in the areas of health, education, and environment.

As our programs in Palestine continue in their tremendous growth, in June 2025 we expanded our work to South Lebanon to facilitate real change in people’s daily lives in a place of great need.
